I know this is a teeth whitening kit but I only bought it for LED lights. These lamps kill the bacteria in your mouth that cause morning breath. I found out by accident. I have used light to help my gums with some recessions. After two or three 15 minute sessions in a row, I found my breath was still fresh the next morning when I woke up. The?! Three weeks have passed and still no morning breath! It also took a lot of the dirt off my tongue and turned it a healthy shade of pink, which is how it should be. I will say that a few weeks prior to this discovery I was at the dentist for an overdue cleaning. I brush multiple times a day, floss twice a day, and brush my tongue daily. I still had morning breath until that light came. I sincerely hope this helps someone and I would really appreciate it if you could leave me a comment if you have the same reaction. Now, if you don't brush or floss, or if you need a professional cleaning because you have plaque on your teeth, I would never expect this to work for your morning breath, but you never know. I didn't use the whitening gel that came with the kit, just the glow. I think the whitening gel will only help kill more bacteria. Years ago I had a strong sensitivity to bleach so I didn't use it. You can also read about some research online that blue light kills bacteria, making it an effective and proven remedy for some of the causes of acne. Red light helps with inflammation, sensitivity, certain bacteria and collagen production.
