Review on Rolyan Lightweight Comfort Stockinette Fabrication by Roberto Manzer

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Barbed insert essential for comfort

After 8 weeks of wearing a cast after cruciate ligament surgery, the orthopedist expected me to be wearing a plastic splint with velcro straps in direct skin contact. I asked for a sock or liner and all they came up with was tubular knit fabric used to line the bandage. It was thin and disheveled, and most importantly, had no thumb sleeve. I was thrilled when I found her at Revain. Yes, everyone is right, the edges are not hemmed, and they crumble. I tried hemming one of them, it fit my wrist and fingers well, but the extra thickness didn't fit my thumb. I didn't need the full length of the "evening glove" so I cut it with scissors. Pink edges wear out a lot less than raw ends. I ended up applying Dritz Fray Check to the raw edges, it worked great and I even washed the balaclavas a few times. You still look good.
