ok but i have questions

I recently ordered this monitor because I was struggling with my laptop's small screen and needed the expanded and larger view this monitor can offer. Wow! Doesn't matter. My job requires a lot of computer time and I needed something. It says it's a game screen, but that's partly why I have it, even though I was a gamer and don't plan on getting started with it. I wanted something that could work and save my eyes over time. Now you don't have to struggle because the optics are too small and you don't have to constantly resize them like you would with a laptop. I ordered this device because it had ALL the features I was looking for in one device and the price for all those features was phenomenal. I've spent a lot of time comparing and that's hard to do, you know, I try to keep track of everything I've watched and I've watched over and over again to make sure. Also makes it harder if you can't see, try and touch it =) I won't be able to take full advantage of some of the features until I upgrade to a faster computer that supports the high refresh rate of this monitor, but I'm very happy with that amazing change. Here are the cons: > I think the phenomenal price should have been free, and a brand I've never heard of > The base platform it sits on is just absolutely, humiliatingly the worst I've seen , compared to affordable monitors from well-known manufacturers with standard performance. It doesn't even stand on a flat surface like a table or desk; a cheap Chinese-made "Beetle" that causes it to wobble unsteadily, throw itself off balance when you touch it, and not sit flat on a flat surface; ie the legs are not angled down far enough so that the center of the platform does not touch the table top; essentially strongly centered. The word "dangerous" above means that the monitor will fall if you leave it unattended without holding it. I had to tape the ends of the two front legs to raise them enough to take up the slack, leaving them barely able to stand on their own. The vertical support bracket is also weak and may cause the monitor to fall and become unbalanced. I used many of these in my workplace before Covid. I spent hours getting the display set up just the way I wanted it, let alone experimenting with different settings. I almost pulled Bill Bixby out and threw it in my driveway because it pissed off my PTSD rage. The settings are completely unintuitive. They also put a lot of pressure and pain on my fingertips, and I have serious calluses from playing the guitar every day. After hours of struggle and adjustments that I could basically live with, my fingertips were sore. So bottom line: I don't think I'll be returning it as I find an item like this too hassle to return and it actually has the performance specs I want. Given the problems I described above, I'll probably jump at the chance to keep it. I'm afraid that his work will eventually stop working. So in hindsight it's always 20/20 (I hate that saying, although I'm too unoriginal to substitute) if I had to do it again I'd pay more attention to reviews and the fact that there are so few of them gives. I'm always skimming reviews, like many of you, but as a kid just needing something to eat, I was so obsessed with what he had when a parent warned him about it that I really didn't pay attention. . Don't repeat the same mistake. I'm a mechanic and with some modifications I'll spend some valuable time improving it. Probably another mistake. Just because you CAN do something doesn't mean you SHOULD do it. I use it now and love the difference, but maybe it was because I was desperate for a change. If I had to do it again, I'd pay 2 or 3 times the money for the same performance and better construction. Unless you're willing to work on it, which some people may well be given the great price and features, I wouldn't buy it. Stay away and get famous brand.
