Always clean the windows inside and out before checking the VLT with a shade meter. During the vehicle inspection, it turned out that my windows were dirty and this effectively lowered the VLT. When I cleaned the windows and tested the blinds myself with the Enforcer II TM1000, I got exactly what I expected. I bought VLT tint 28% for the front doors and 20% for the back doors. Enforcer II TM1000 showed my shadow as 29% front and 20% back. The Laser Labs Enforcer II TM1000 Hue Meter has an accuracy of plus or minus 2% and is humidity independent. It can read from 0% VLT to 100% VLT. Its operating temperature range is from 0 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. It is not affected by ambient light. Requires a CR2032 3V lithium battery (included).
