great for short hair! I really like this new round brush I just bought. The barrel is small enough to wrap, blow out, and curl your hair a bit, but not so small that it's useless. I previously bought a smaller round brush and found it difficult to use it to blow dry and style my hair at the same time. Just in case this review ranks with the other reviews, I bought the 270 brush with a 2.5 inch overall width barrel. I used to have very long hair and used 3 inch or larger barrels to blow my longer hair, but because it was cut the large barrels got the job done with the drier part of the blow but volume wasn't maintained. This round brush is a game changer! It creates soft curled ends that help maintain volume. Don't forget the hairspray to fix it. Soft foam grip, lightweight. There is a hard plastic cap at the end to minimize the possibility of burning yourself on the hot brush cylinder! It happens.
