Review on Asobu 32 oz. Insulated Pour Over Coffee Maker - Double-Wall Vacuum and Stainless-Steel Filter, with Take on the Go Carafe in Mint Green by Candy Malone

Sexy, fun, yet gentle

I love this carafe. Nice. I would call it "eggplant" not red. Happy to use. The steel filter runs too fast, so I think it needs a paper filter. keeps my coffee hot However, I bought it to keep my homemade coffee hot. I have a lot of coffee containers. Also, it's too pretty to be bumped (scratched) in a basket or backpack. The problem is that it cools down quickly unless you plan on removing the glass funnel and covering it with a lid. So I leave the used filter in place. I also tried the lid as a stopper. After pouring, I gently and casually placed it in the glass funnel to keep it warm. But in any case you have to be very careful when you come back for the second pour and the heat goes out pretty quickly. Why is there no insulated plastic-free stainless steel carafe for domestic use? This could be it when it's completed. Cons: Glass is very fragile. Handle with care. I say the less you have to remove the glass funnel the better. It would be much better if the glass funnel were also insulated. This is a high quality, delicate item. Treat with care and respect. Rinse THOROUGHLY after each use. This prevents the coffee from settling on the painted enamel and discolouring the case. I put mine back on the wooden tray once it's dry to keep it from harm. It has become a new daily ritual for me and I just love using it. Thank you for reading.
