This saved the life of my 2007 Ford Escape xlt 4wd. It worked and idle very hard. My mechanic said to change those engine mounts first as they are often the culprit. This was half the price of what I found at local stores. Sometimes it was difficult to change it, but for an inexperienced home mechanic it was possible. Be sure to clean everything around the existing mount before attempting to remove it or install a new one. This includes a plastic tank for the radiator. Have deep sockets handy and a friend to help move the motor around a bit while you try to line up the holes on the new one. The engine takes a new position due to the wear of the old bracket. I used the scissor jack that came with the Escape along with a large 4" piece of wood to place it between the oil pan and the jack. This is important for weight distribution. Escape now runs smoother and quieter. So glad I did this and I hope it helps you.
