I don't understand why people like to complain. Don't get into the CB hobby if you don't know what you're doing. Do your research first. CB radio is legally 4W while SSB is 12W. Find out the difference. An antenna will not give you the range you want. There are other antennas that you can buy online that will take you far. The device can only be charged when it is switched off. If you don't hear anyone say, there is no one there. Nobody around you might have the problem and not use CB. People are too far away. Your CB is receiving too much noise even with squelch off. Learn how to use your device and hobbies before the F@$! complain .
