I can't say enough good things about the Hawk LTS pads. I've clocked about 70,000 miles from the first set of Power Slot rotors on a Ford Excursion. I'm a pretty tough driver and drive a lot slower. Once properly recorded (it's important to follow the instructions and get it right) they stop incredibly smoothly and progressively faster at high speeds/quick stops. No fade, just progressive bite. This is with no load, which is about 8,000, or with drag, which is about 16,000. On hard stops, I release the pedal pressure while the brakes do their thing and come to a stop. I have a second set, the rear are the same rotors, and the fronts are only new because I damaged one of them, otherwise I'd just change the pads and ride another 60-70k miles. In certain weather conditions you may hear one or two beeps, which is normal. These pads are made from a mix of materials that offer a balance between heavy braking (as is the case with big trucks that can squeak insanely) and lighter trucks/cars that use material to reduce/eliminate squeal. I can't imagine how anything else works.
