I was looking for something that could illuminate my crafts up close and this helped. The clip allows you to attach it to an embroidery hoop or drawing board. I found I could clip it to a paperback, place it on my lap, and hold my work under the light. I was able to sew while sitting next to a relative's hospital bed at night when the room lights were not on. And the batteries last amazingly long! Now I just pack this flashlight and a few extra batteries in my creative bag and take it with me everywhere. I can sit in the corner of a friend's house and engage in conversation while enjoying crafts or painting. And when I want to read - in any light - this light is perfect. Great price and very convenient!
