I ordered this to attach to my frame when cross stitching. That works great! I couldn't see my line without making it. I just got it recently so can't comment on the battery life. New Duracell batteries were dead less than two weeks after receipt. I've been using it for two weeks or less. I send it back and get a rechargeable book lamp. Annoying that the batteries are empty so quickly.

Opened the box, put in 3 batteries, attached them to the top of the wireless keyboard I use for my Dell Micro computer and pressed the button to turn it on . Now I can see the keys. Perfect size, doesn't interfere with my keyboard usage. Two levels of brightness, low level is fine for me - it illuminates the black keys so I can see what I'm typing. For my purposes I would consider this a bargain at twice the price.

Works VERY well. I used to have a version without LEDs and it barely worked, but this new LED version is great. I don't like it when my son turns on the light while parking because it can drain the battery. I recommend this for any place where you don't have access to lights. I bought the 6 led version and it is very bright! A clip I use on the back of the driver's seat headrest so my son can read or do other things while driving.

I was looking for something that could illuminate my crafts up close and this helped. The clip allows you to attach it to an embroidery hoop or drawing board. I found I could clip it to a paperback, place it on my lap, and hold my work under the light. I was able to sew while sitting next to a relative's hospital bed at night when the room lights were not on. And the batteries last amazingly long! I have tried many book lamps over the years but they have been heavy, uncomfortable and flimsy. I thought I missed a few generations. That's great! It's light enough that it can easily be attached to a mass-market paperback (including a number of pages) and it doesn't weigh down or slip or anything like that. The neck is very flexible.
