I recently acquired a 15.6 inch laptop (MSI Pulse GL66), fits in this quiet nicely. Was wanting to put it in a fully loaded laptop backpack but the backpack had, in my eyes, subpar protection. So I wanted something that could take a hit of me putting it on my back.It's an added layer to the backpack and fits perfectly, so in theory it should do just fine for the purpose I got it for. I wouldn't sit on it, and I'd still be hesitant to lay on it, lay back on it, or throw it too hard on my back, but it should do.
