I also like intensive blocks. When it's wet your colors will look amazing. I mainly use it on silk. It dries quickly, you can heat the iron and not steam it, so you can use it immediately. and its persistence. This set and the Derwent Instense blocks are very good for traveling. I travel a lot so I need something that doesn't involve using dyes, that's easy to edit on the plane or at the destination, but still has the control to play or draw when the mood calls for it. I highly recommend this product. When I got it from you all The box was broken into pieces but that's ok, if you break a piece you can turn it into liquid dyes. I like him better, I guess he wasn't ready to be sent to us, well. Just like pencils were. However, I used them anyway. There are so many ways you can use this product. As I said above, I travel for them to replace my liquid dyes, but they will never take a substitute for my liquid dyes. You work differently. On Intense blocks, when I use them exclusively with Silk Only, these dyes work well when mixed. Once you put it on the silk it becomes permanent, you can't remove it, you're done. You can mix other colors with them, but that's about it. If you want an intense look, don't add water. but you MUST HEAT IT. This is where this shrink material sticks to the fabric. You can use any fabric for this, I prefer silk. Easier to carry and I keep about 50 in my suitcase when I travel. This product allows me to work on the plane, while traveling, anywhere. Unlike my liquid paint it's not the same, with liquid paint you have to heat it with steam first and then heat it with an iron, so you just heat it without steam. And you can end up wearing it, selling it and washing it in a cool water bath too. I only used distilled water for washing and lightly ironed it on low heat. Nothing more. When using this product I noticed that the products are a bit stiff on silk but I think this is because I didn't wash them afterwards. I wash my Sitropol. I buy mine from Dharma Trading, they have products, even intensive ones, but you won't get them for less than Amazon. I know I've tried I've also noticed that some of the products on Amazon are a bit outdated. If your intensive blocks are a bit white at the top after purchase, send them back, they may be very old and the warehouse has gotten hot and the products will spoil. These blocks should be soft and not so runny. Also, DO NOT keep them warm or too cold. Keep them in containers, take out the pieces you need, I chose to take the pieces that are pieces and put them in little lidded cups that you can get at restaurant supply points . and the rest in a cool, dry place in your home, never hot in a garage. Keep away from pets, children and flame. It's not poisonous, but you never know. Then I took other pieces and mixed them with water in small cups, the lighter you want the more water. First I decided to make my drawing by mixing it with water. then I can do it too, bring the silk products to the loom. or a frame, wet all the silk, take intense blocks with a little, they tend to get in your hands, then make your design while it's still wet, you'll see the colors blend. it's a knockout. then you can bleed colors if you like or not. But if you have any other questions about this product, please feel free to ask me. I love this product especially I can take it on a cruise ship to relax. I love what I do and I do it for a living. I am selling my scarves and other silk products. just ask for prices. Thank you, have fun!
