That's a great idea, but the screw hole almost bisects the magnet. I used glue or thick double sided tape to attach them to the plastic clips, no screws. Glue them to the steel plate and remove them. They break when attracted to steel and hit hard on it. But bringing them with you for a soft landing is not worth it. I might try pouring thin glue between the gaps between the magnet and the metal frame to see if that helps. Even if it works, I won't buy it again.
