Review on 🏎️ Pace Setter 70-1182 Black Exhaust Header: Optimal Performance for Your Vehicle by Chris Dildine

Cheap but works. for exhaust and emissions

This is my second header kit in 3 years. I had the same problem both times. The 3-hole flange does not seal well. I went through many pads in this section. For best results I recommend cutting the floating flange on the downspout side and using the flange on the other side as a deck to weld on the downspout. You must bolt it all the way down and install the O2 sensor before welding this section. The second complaint is that the two-bolt flange on the downtube side that connects to the CAT is perfectly flat and slightly smaller than the CAT flange. The CAT side flange has a recessed lip that accepts an o-ring (Advanced part number 31585). If you use an OEM o-ring, this new flange will not seat and will have 1/8" of play no matter how hard you crush it. Using the supplied flat gasket will result in leaks after a few weeks when using different sized flanges with different sized pipes. 2 1/4 vs 2 1/2. The exhaust turns into a mini flare and opens holes when it leaks. The pinholes turn into gaps within a week or two. When you buy it, you need to seal it better. Don't bother painting as my ceramic paint didn't last more than a week. Wasted day stripping and cleaning only for my $30 paint to burn off anyway.
