This flashlight looks good and works well. Following the instructions I received in an email from the seller, upon receipt I took them out of the box and inspected them. I then put it outside with the switch in the "OFF" position because I wanted it to absorb as much energy as possible in a short amount of time. It was midday and cloudy. The next day it was cloudy again but I left it charging and then flipped the switch to ON in the afternoon. It was Halloween and I wanted the lights to come on as soon as it got dark. Worked like a charm with nice bright light even after less than 24 hours of charging under cloudy skies. Last night (a week later) I noticed the flames weren't that bright. But the lantern stayed in the rain. I also just used the cheap batteries that came with it so I can try new ones. In general very happy with my purchase.
