Review on Nikon NIKKOR Fixed Focus Cameras by Md Aadam Ali ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A really necessary purchase, Im glad I found this product.

I had experience using 85mm 1.8D, after which I tested (and bought) 85mm 1.8G. D-shka at 1.8 finally soap :( I had to tighten it up to 2.2-2.5, only there the sharpness began . but D - autofocus is undeniably faster. And 1.8G is sharp right from 1.8, very cool! =) Different pros: relatively inexpensive, light, compact, SHARP at 1.8 !, well, fast aperture (of course). And also, in comparison with the D series (also 1.8), they successfully reduced chromatism, well done. :) Cons below: bokeh by 4, or 4 out of 5. ;) Subjectively, of course. Be especially careful with the hood! With dressed - do not remove the lens from the carcass, and do not put it on! - I did this a couple of times, the lens hood remained in my hands, and the lens - tsok-tsok - from my hands, onto the board, and on the asphalt. Saved only by the light weight of the lens, there was nothing for him - otherwise it would be a skiff! :(
