I was looking for an unscented dishwashing liquid because I don't want my dishes or my hands to smell like scented flowers or anything. I just want cleanliness, soap is very effective. I wash by hand so I need a good strong soap. In fact, I'm in the habit of adding baking soda to soap to enhance its effects, and for some reason, every time I did this with this dish soap, it foamed profusely and spilled over the container. This was incomprehensible to me, as it did not occur with other dishwashing detergents. After this happened a third time, I checked the ingredient list and found it had lactic acid in it! LOL I feel so stupid because this totally reminded me of the volcanic foam from elementary school science class. The lactic acid reacted with the baking soda and foamed up in the soap, creating a soap volcano! In any case, I may not add baking soda directly anymore, but I'm still pleased with how well this soap cleans and washes clean. Size matters. I use them to fill a smaller bottle that I keep near the sink.
