Thing actually works better than I expected. My wife is a heavy user and she was blown away by the sound quality compared to the previous Junk JETech Wireless FM Transmitter. This one stopped working after a few months and had constant channel problems (the correct channel happened to be missing due to poor cable quality). This device is much better and highly recommended. It has an additional input that you can plug directly into it, but we didn't use it so can't comment on how well it works. The bluetooth part works great and the charging port is a nice bonus. The output current is large enough to fully charge the phone when the screen is always on and connected/playing via Bluetooth. Make sure you have a quality charging cable.
