We have been using e-collars for three years. For multiple dogs, they are by far the best. Our original collars stopped responding after the dogs got ten feet away from us. I don't know if the problem was with the transmitter or the receiver. I switched to the ez-302 because I liked the transmitter better. We ended up sending back 2 separate devices because the batteries in the collars didn't last half a day. That's why we switched to the Sportdog brand collar. The battery life is MUCH better than an e-collar. While I think they have the best features for multiple dogs, I can't recommend any e-collar brand more.
