They performed much better than the waterproof bandages from Johnson & Johnson and CVS. I often had problems with them because they lost their adhesion in places in the shower. In addition, they are more expensive. While I wiped the area around the incision first with an alcohol swab and then applied a bandage, the Zinnor bandages held up very well. I could even shower and then wear it all day when I take the kids to the lake or water park. I like hot showers and the steam doesn't affect adhesion. I have a 4 1/2 inch incision on my shoulder from collarbone surgery and I love these long thin bandages that are perfect for closing a long incision. With the branded bandages, I had to tie two of them together with a bandage down the middle (they don't have bandages like those Zinnors - the branded bandages are just covers) to keep them from sticking to my cut. . Hopefully not needed but I would buy them again! Great price and great product!
