I have searched endlessly for a good tablet and finally settled on this one. I was very, very, very skeptical about the S Pen and what looked like a gimmick, but let me say this S Pen is great when used with the S Note app and those other Samsung writings app, it works great and really strengthens my love. for this tablet. That love only adds to the wonderful screen, and the battery life is excellent for the most part. The speakers are also okay and I can say that the tablet is fantastic, but it doesn't match the design and software. These two items are among the worst I've come across. The placement of the buttons and USB port was the least of my worries, and it shows. I cringe every time I have to charge it; Using the tablet while charging is a big p and o. You can't use this device while charging, conveniently without a device. The arrangement of the keys on the front screen looks nice, but is usually not pleasing. You can get used to it, but it's never comfortable. The power and volume buttons suffered the same fate as the onscreen buttons and were never comfortable. I like two things about my devices: a beautiful screen and a fast/smooth operating system. The screen is great, the software isn't, I upgraded to 4.4 Kitkat and as of today my tablet hangs when I press the power or home button, which bothers me a lot. It lasts a good two seconds and I wonder if the button is actually pressed or not. 1 Mississippi.2 Mississippi.3 Missy. So I pressed the button, which is by far my biggest complaint about this tablet. I need to find a way to mod this tablet and just install stock Android here and somehow keep my S Pen apps which are the only useful Samsung apps, everything else is junk you can't delete. I probably won't return it, but if I had the chance, would I buy it again? The answer is no, this tablet has a 7.5 out of 10, the only thing that wins my heart is the screen (amazing), the stylus is really handy for taking notes, the screen (did I already say I like it ?) (TL ; DR ) Now, while remaining very informal, let me give you some more information. The tablet feels solid for the most part (except for the power and sound buttons and the whole body, which feels flimsy), and the back is comfortable to touch and hold. . The tablet can get a little warm after overuse, but it never gets unbearable or even uncomfortable. The cameras, which I haven't played with much, are there, which is fine considering you're not supposed to be taking pictures on a tablet, but they're there if you need to. The Samsung skin over Android has potential and some cool features for the most basic of users, but it really just holds the tablet back and the lag is too noticeable. I left the tablet on for several days without charging, but it was only on standby and it made me smile. Multitasking is very cool, and I hope it gets easier to do it on Android in the future. USB location is terrible. You can always use Micro USB MHL for HDMI output (not included), which works well. The battery drained faster than expected when using MHL. 7.5/10, really not worth more than 8.
