Review on Swagman XTC2 Hitch Bike Rack by Ronny Prather

First of all, this bike holds bikes very well. It's nice that it has a coupler adapter that can be used with both a 1 1/4 coupler and a 2 inch coupler. The reason for the 3-star rating is the difficulty in releasing the holding mechanism. This thing jams when trying to remove bikes. My wife, who has small hands, sometimes can't solve it, which makes her very frustrated. You have to press down the button with a force and also shake it to release it. My wife managed to scratch every machine that was on too. It's hard to catch the inside bike without scratching the car, snagging the brake/shift cables, and the pedals have to be in the right place. The center bar sucks. durable, they hold bikes with no problem. If I had to do it all over again I would go with something that sticks to the wheel and makes it easier to fit in the bike. I like that it is light and compact. Overall, the price is hard to beat.
