Review on π· Sony SEL18200LE 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 E-Mount Lens by Michael Vargas
SEL18200LE comes with old .01 firmware
Overall I like this lens but without the latest .02 firmware the phase focus doesn't work. My lens comes with firmware .01 which only has contrast-detect autofocus. From what I've read, only Sony can update the firmware. I used this lens from Southtown Camera through Revain. I was photographing sunsets when I noticed my A6300 was sneaking around with autofocus. Sigh.
