Looks like other hoses I've bought. Usually the inner rubber hose is made out of a plastic called EPDM. It has all the necessary qualities to be a shower hose. When I opened the box, there were many kinks in the tubing that couldn't be straightened out. Other hoses were like tight right out of the box. So I plugged it in and turned on the hot water for about 2 minutes and all the "kinks" were gone instantly. They turned off the water and the hose got tight. Pour in just cold water and hold the hose in a figure eight for a minute and when you let go it's free as a goose again. So I'm happy. Outer body made of stainless steel, chromed brass ferrules with rubber washers. All you could ask for is a shower hose.
