This is part of a great replacement for the pathetic plastic fitting and hose that Waterpik supplied for my shower head. I bought a Purelux 100 inch stainless steel hose and shower faucet to complete a recent shower remodel and I couldn't be happier than I am right now. I will be showering for the next few months and the length of this hose allows me full access from start to finish and even helps keep water out of the surgical area while it heals. Short hose replaced with this one. Then every morning when water flowed through, an incredible stench (like something rotten) filled the bathroom. It goes away as the water keeps flowing, but repeats itself every morning, leading me to suspect that the water left in the hose is a breeding ground for bacteria or fungi, which then flush out every morning and create that stench. Very good shower hose. The long length fits in my shower stall and makes washing the dog easier. The hose does not tangle or twist, which is very convenient. One problem: the "nut" at the end of the hose where it connects to the shower head is smaller than the original. It is not fixed to the receiver. We have already changed this hose - same brand and length - for the second time and are very satisfied. We use it with the WaterPik showerhead and most of our showers use it in manual mode. This can put stress on the hose, especially the fitting closest to the shower head. If you hold the shower head upside down to hose down your legs/feet, the angles between the hose and the shower head can be very sharp and cause mechanical stress. Looks like other hoses I've bought. Usually the inner rubber hose is made out of a plastic called EPDM. It has all the necessary qualities to be a shower hose. When I opened the box, there were many kinks in the tubing that couldn't be straightened out. Other hoses were like tight right out of the box.
