The scanner is fairly easy to use with some basic settings you can set up front (although I had to reset the settings every time I used it?) . I found the scans to be quite contrasty, the whites were washed out and tending towards red, so I scanned them darker and adjusted Photoshop's auto curves. However, there were some slides that I just couldn't scan properly - I lost too much detail.
