I wasn't expecting good colors or great hardware

I knew I was buying a cheap scanner but unfortunately it couldn't even get the advertised 1200dpi when scanning the negatives. Sure, an image stored on an SD card can be 1200 dpi, but every pixel is doubled horizontally. This leads me to believe that the sensor does indeed have a resolution of 1200dpi, but cannot move the film in small enough increments to properly capture it. Auto-framing is also an issue. I thought that a scanner that /knows/ that it is scanning 35mm negatives would…

Suitable for home use, but not for professional use

Six months ago I returned to my film photography. The main reason I order this scanner is the price. I would like to use this scanner to scan negative film that I am developing myself and use it to quickly view my work on a computer. And choose good photos to print. I could say I'm happy with this product, but a few months later I'm getting the Epson V600 for real work. On weekends I spend half a day scanning 3,500 old photos of my family and I share them after I'm done with Photoshop. My…

Good little device for office electronics

The scanner does an acceptable job for the average user. I had a few thousand photos to scan and needed a faster way to use my flatbed scanner. I used Pandigital to scan my less valuable photos and am generally happy with the results. Since photos are only scanned at 300 dpi, I scanned the main photos on my flatbed scanner. Pandigital lets you easily scan 100+ photos in under an hour, and it's easy to use. I've tried scanning several 35mm negatives, everything is fine. In fact, they turned out…

Thousands of photos

It's amazing how happy I am with this little device, for us who were born before the digital age very often these big photo albums end up hidden somewhere, I found one of those albums and tried to scan the images on my multifunction printer but after closing and opening the cover, placing each image and saving it to my computer I was exhausted so I went online to see if there was a faster selection , and found memory Plug in, plug in, turn on and load up with tons of images It's true that the…

Pathetic performance!

I've read a lot about these types of scanners and wanted to digitize a box of family photos to share with the rest of the family so I ordered these. Revine got it to me quickly and I excitedly took everything out of the box, read the instructions and got to work. The first photo I scanned with it was my favorite photo of all, me with my adult grandchildren when they were toddlers. Imagine my despair when the copy was green all over; all of our hair, the shaded parts of the room, the lampshade…

Great for scanning large batches of photos

Scan quality is so-so, but most of the photos I've scanned don't benefit from a higher resolution scan. There is definitely a streak problem if you don't clean between scans. I ran a cleaning cycle about every 50 photos and everything was fine. The stripes are best seen against a dark background. But with limitations, this scanner met my needs exactly. I had some old 3x5 and 4x6 prints that I needed to digitize. This scanner was very fast and easy to use. You don't even have to press a button…

Does exactly what it says on the tin

I've wanted to scan all my old photos for a long time. Scanning on my flatbed scanner is taking too long. I've looked at larger photo scanners, but they all need to be plugged into a computer and you need to interact with the computer while scanning. I stumbled upon Pandigital, it looked too good to be true, especially considering the price. Online reviews were good too. Overall it does a great job. One thing I would like to point out is that since there is no connection to a PC, you have no…

Scanned lines show and grain

Pros: Small size was the only plus. Cons: Oh where do I start. Firstly, I didn't like that after 5 minutes of using the scanner, lines appeared on my scanned 4x6 images, as if the rollers capturing the image left streaks on my photos. When I look at these photos on my "digital frame" the images are very grainy and have these horrible horizontal lines. I lost a whole year of digital photos but I have 4x6 printed photos in the box. So I wanted to scan all year and save it on my computer. After…

Not only for 4x6. were happy!

After reading the reviews here and elsewhere I almost overlooked this scanner. I'm glad I bought it. (Read other reviewers for more feature details. I'm only suggesting one positive here to balance the others. I scanned about 200 photos. There are no negatives. There were a few photos with a white line, but I just got one continued. It happened in just a few photos And I agree as I'm more interested in just keeping them than sitting in boxes. The scanner worked great with very small photos. I…

One, er, but very satisfied

I recently received this product and I can say that it was originally designed for a much higher price. Mine came with a power adapter, SD card, calibration/cleaning pads, negative mount, photo shield and computer cable. This is a very good device and as some of the videos I've seen have shown you can upload photos to this device very quickly. how will it take her. It's much faster than my old way of putting them on the tablet, scanning, waiting, taking them off the tablet and repeating. So I…
