I recently received this product and I can say that it was originally designed for a much higher price. Mine came with a power adapter, SD card, calibration/cleaning pads, negative mount, photo shield and computer cable. This is a very good device and as some of the videos I've seen have shown you can upload photos to this device very quickly. how will it take her. It's much faster than my old way of putting them on the tablet, scanning, waiting, taking them off the tablet and repeating. So I just feed and go. I like that he takes great pictures and seems to know if they are square or rectangular. I've looked through many different photos, old and new, with no problems. I'd be wary of anything torn or damaged as I don't know how it will react in a photo between the wheels (use photo protection for that). I tried several negatives. They don't seem to eat as quickly, but the strip I tried was a little crooked. I love how it automatically converts them into individual photos. I have less work! And they were much clearer than I could have imagined. One negative got stuck because I forgot to cut off one end of the tape. The book recommends this (for obvious reasons). A problem with this device and many others is that I have some old mounted slides that I wanted to convert. I blew up my old ION machine and forgot to check when I bought it, but it only scans unframed slides. Why any manufacturer would think I'd want to a) destroy my slides to do this, or b) stand for hours peeling them from the box I'll never know, but most "slide" scanners expect that of you. (ION didn't, but for some reason it didn't scan the whole slide!) I unmounted and tried two. Since they're very small now (about the size of a single negative), the first went through with no problem, but the second got stuck. Moments later, oh my god, not wanting to lose a precious vintage photo, I turned the device off and then back on and it spat it out. On my second try, I pushed through the first slide, followed by the second, and that seemed to work better. I would be very wary of warped, torn, cracked or damaged slides as they are so small that they disappear into the machine and are not as easy to remove if they get stuck. Get this device, you can pretty much turn it on and use it with a little guidance. However, if you delve into the very fine print of the manual, you'll find additional resolution options and other effects that come with the scanning. Overall I am delighted with this device. I just want to scan the mounted slides. I'm happy with the quality and happy that I can now digitize the rest of my collection.
