I've wanted to scan all my old photos for a long time. Scanning on my flatbed scanner is taking too long. I've looked at larger photo scanners, but they all need to be plugged into a computer and you need to interact with the computer while scanning. I stumbled upon Pandigital, it looked too good to be true, especially considering the price. Online reviews were good too. Overall it does a great job. One thing I would like to point out is that since there is no connection to a PC, you have no way of checking the quality of the scan before actually inserting the SD card into the PC. I've created some very large batches and ended up with a bad scan or two that took me a long time to find the original image so I could rescan it. Batch of about 100 photos. I watch them all at once and save them in the order I watched them. Then I grab the SD card and quickly make a slideshow of photos. I can then quickly identify any problems and easily find offensive images. After reviewing the scans, I put them back in the albums.
