Cheap heaters with defects - ignore the 4.5 stars and be careful

Okay, first things first. These heaters work, they just don't work as advertised. They don't offer a 21 F temperature range. Maybe 15 under ideal conditions and a lot less than in a semi-cold (60 F) environment. I have three 300w, 1150w and 1100w. 300 watts is perfect for a 40 gallon farm. 100W is suitable for 10G. 150W is suitable for 20G. But if you run these units at full power, an indoor pond less than 180 gallons, including the insulated bottom, will not exceed 75F by 60F. It's only 15 degrees with a remarkable power consumption: 1150 watts. This is not ideal for my tilapia which requires 80-86 for optimal growth and reproduction. The black things at the bottom always come off. I don't even know why they're worried. I think the included (and very strange) temperature sensor is just an incentive to make a cheap and inefficient product a good alternative to more expensive heaters. If you use basic tanks indoors and don't care about looks, or fiddle with the temp gauge all the time knowing it's never going to be the temp it says it might be a steal for you. I don't mind using them in my 40G, 20GL or 10G fry grow tanks. However, they are cheap for a reason. I would consider this before purchasing them depending on your specific needs. Also, the price increase of over $3, well, how to put it, points me in a new direction. It was hardly a bargain before because of the shortcomings. I will not pay such prices for a poor quality product; I'll spend the extra money on a better heater. I suggest you be more honest with your advertising, if my fish didn't need heaters to survive I would already be returning them as products that don't work as advertised. I strongly recommend only using these heaters for cheap aquarium setups. The price of all the heaters I bought together made me wish I had gone trout farming instead. This takes up my aquaculture hobby which uses almost no electricity and needs at least another 300 watts on top of the 1150 watts I already have. That's a lot of power that generates large electricity bills. I advise you to choose another brand and save yourself this headache if you can afford it.
