Nighthawk AX8 AX5700 met my expectations

I'm always nervous about "used" or "refurbished" electronics. Kanga Supply delivered this unit well packaged and protected on time. I've been using the AX5700 for about a week at the time of writing this review and haven't had any issues to date. I set up quite a few routers so I jumped straight to the advanced settings to finish the setup. I haven't used any of the wizards and have never had to contact support, so I can't rate them. If you are familiar with routers, installation is easy. The reason I bought the AX5700 is because I'm on a builder's list to get fiber optics sometime in the next 3 months and I need to be ready when they arrive. I currently use DSL at a snail's pace. Not only do I need to be fiber ready, but I also need to make sure the AX5700 can get the job done, I configured the Nighthawk AX5700 to accept an internet in signal from the WAN out port of the DSL modem receives. My existing LAN consists of three gigabit switches that power all wired devices. I simply plugged each switch into the AX5700's LAN output jacks. I turned everything on and everything worked. Next came WiFi. WIFI AX5700 is amazing! Before installing the AX5700, I ran a WiFi DSL router modem test with my cell phone. Going around the building, one strip fell out almost completely, and two strips in some places. This building has metal siding and a roof. After installing the AX5700, I disabled WIFI on the DSL system and enabled WIFI on the AX5700. I gave the WIFI networks the same names and passwords that were used in the DSL system. Everything well connected. Laying the same path around the building resulted in no dropouts and for most of the path to three lanes, with two lanes at one point.
