Cheap, Wiggles, Can't tighten, Breaks easily

Looks can be deceiving. We received this and the box was in good condition, however the nut that screws on the bottom of the facuet sprout to anchor to the underside of the cabinet was cracked (it is made out of cheap plastic). Installation of this "nut housing" must be done by hand because there are no tools that could possibly fit. As a result of hand-tightening, the cracked plastic cut my hand (not safe). In addition, it was super wiggly like the video another poster posted. Upon trying to tighten the nut more with my alraedy bleeding hand, it finally just broke to the point where it was useless. Removing it required 2 hours of work with plyers. The reslulting piece is shown inthe picture. In addition, the product review is inconsistent with the practical application. Pictures show that it will work with a backsplash very tight to the faucet. Well that's true as long as you don't want cold water! There is no minimum clearance listed, resulting in having to spin the base so it is at an awkward angle. I sort of figured that'd be the case, but was willing to take my chances. This is not a great product. Even the instructions are inconsisten - example o-ring vs. flat washer. Finally, the diagram for hot and cold is backwards from what is labeled on the inlet lines. As an engineer, this is not a well engineered product.

Pros
  • Satin nickel finish makes it easy to clean and maintain
Cons
  • Doesn't come with proper installation instructions
