I've been experimenting with these square braided wicks made from paraffin and beeswax. The two waxes appear to be on opposite ends of the spectrum. Paraffin burns too easily and beeswax hardly burns. However, other beeswax sources may work better. I can only rate what I have at the moment. This wick's #4 beeswax-only wick does not appear to hold a 2" candle in a container, although this product's description says it will hold candles up to 4" in diameter. The wick gets shorter and shorter until the candle goes out by itself. Either I need to find a better source of beeswax or I need to start working with paraffin and beeswax blends. However, the wick itself seems to work well. I've had no issues with them trying to swim in melted wax and they seem to burn clean. For #6 you need a larger tab than usual, which is a pretty tough choice.
