Review on Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II Zoom Lens: Perfect Auto Focus Lens for Nikon DSLR Cameras by Keisuke Shimizu ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I am satisfied, the purchase is quite successful.

I bought a dispersed D7000, but then I realized that with at least a slightly wide angle I would not be able to shoot so soon, and I had to buy more. If it were not for the ear that flew off, I would never regret buying it. There is no replacement for him with my funds. LIKE WRONG WHEN PURCHASING. I have the same one, but AF-S, when I first bought AF-P, he refused to focus on the D7000.

Pros
  • + Focusing is good (in relative twilight, the motor is also fast, in my opinion faster than a screwdriver in the D7000) + Relatively light + You can’t find other lenses with a focal length of <35mm for a human price, perhaps - this is the only option if you need people in an apartment to fit into the frame completely + Also a stabilizer for such a price! +Even some semblance of background blur is feasible +Built-in motor +Popular hood and filter/cap thread sizes
Cons
  • - noisy motor -The stabilizer beeps at high frequencies (almost no one hears except me) -Darkish -With filters on, it catches the inverted reflection reflected from the lens itself (can be seen in the attached night photo) -To be honest, I practically did not see the stabilizer work, it seems to be there, but it seems not -PLASTIC BAYONET! Damn him. A weak blow to the bag with the camera, with the lens put on it, and now: the fastening eye flew off, got into the shutter mechanism, because of which it jammed, the crumbs from all this plastic business poured onto the mirror, matrix , and God knows where else. Fortunately, the shutter mechanism itself was not damaged. Lens repair costs 1500r, Alik has a 700r interchangeable bayonet mount (the same poor, if not worse) . Without this eyelet, the lens is sometimes not detected or the image is just black. Miser pays twice. Although, if the bayonet was metal, the camera might have been damaged, who knows. In commission shops I see a bunch of such whales with their ears torn off.

Bought it along with NIKON D5500. Compared with the early kit lens AF-S DX Nikon 18-55mm f / 3.5-5.6G VR and Yongnuo YN-35mm. AF-P DX Nikon 18-55mm proved to be worthy. The comparison can be viewed on YouTube Pasha Mulya under the name - Yongnuo YN-35mm vs AF-P vs AF-S Nikon.

Has some pros Versatile, fast and quiet focusing, inexpensive. Different cons: There are none for this price.
