Review on πŸ’§ AQUACREST GXSV65R Compatible Replacement Filter by Johnathan Delgado

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Only states that NSF 42 is "non-health related ". Does not claim to filter out lead and other health-related items.

I bought this once and while it fits right I don't see any sign that it filters anything important. First, they claim it's NSF 42 certified. NSF 42 only includes "claims of material safety, structural integrity, and aesthetic non-health related contaminants." Lead, biologics, etc. are not covered. GE is NSF 42 and 53 certified (that's NSF 53, which covers things like lead and "health-related" substances). Second, I've been using this for several months and unlike GE, the flow rate has never slowed down. If the filters are working, the flow rate should eventually slow down. Third: GE lists NSF data, I don't see it here. Fourth, GE has a reputation to uphold, but Aquacrest doesn't. I'm not sure if this works or not, but if I'm having trouble filtering my water, I need hard evidence that it works. Just my opinion.
