Works via USB

Firstly, this is a working dock, but there is an issue with the included power adapter that doesn't really deliver 24w or the devices need more than 24w to work. I've had issues with this and other StarTech docks where with prolonged use they will eventually try to draw too much current and shut down - a workaround is to use a 2.5A or 3A 12V power supply to use (I took 12V 3A from an unused one). external hard drive enclosure). In any case, the USB to SATA bridge they use seems to be supported pretty well. and it works on both Windows and Linux.
