We bought an organic latex mattress - needless to say - it was firm and a bit uncomfortable. We fiddled with it because we paid a lot for it, and then I went on a business trip and slept on a feather bed - and it was really nice. I thought hmm maybe I could make our existing hard bed. better. I did a lot of research, didn't want to spend thousands - otherwise I'd just buy a new mattress - I thought the price was reasonable so I hoped it would be just as comfortable. When it arrived I have to say I was excited because it was HEAVY. I needed help to get him into the bedroom - he weighed almost 50lbs. She took it out, laid it across the bed after ruffling it - and lay down. And I was excited because - it was so much more comfortable than before - and it almost hugged me as I lay there. So I put a sheet over it - and waited until my husband went to bed (let's see if he feels the difference). He immediately said - what's going on here? why is it so beautiful Have you bought a new mattress? He turned on the light and asked me - did you buy a new mattress? I said no. stupid. What do you think? And then I told him what it was. He said let's see how I feel in the morning. The next morning we agreed that the mattress situation was completely different thanks to this product. This duvet cover completely transforms the bed/mattress into a pleasure. Soft yet supportive - not hot (I would have skipped that in a heartbeat) and just incredibly comfortable. We love it. I'm glad I read the reviews and took a chance! Thanks comrades ravens!
