Review on Suunto 9 G1 Baro Titanium by Scott Gafur

wow what Suunto 9

That Sunnto even put that name on a watch like this is a nod to the crap that's being made today. See I can understand the software issues but this thing is a legal torment I think it's ok if he takes measurements whenever he wants if I wanted that kind of reliability I'd ask 300 less and a take Samsung. The heat monitor worked great for three days. Barely works and no settings. The compass cannot be accessed quickly. The battery lasted longer when my watch was wound. The screen itself has the worst display I've ever seen at night. Turn it up to 100, yes you can see it well on battery. The altmeter will likely kill you if you hunt or fish, hike, or are a marksman. It's so far away that my duachter guessed better than the clock. And yes, it was reset 3 times and then set to my replacement Suunto watch. Within 10 minutes at 100 feet two hours 1345 feet. So he began to wonder if it was as far as the GPS could keep up. Well, its signal is only as bad as it comes and goes, pacing back and forth, let alone backing up, because the trail has been eaten up by hours. This clock was intended for the table jockey who pretends to use this clock. The bezel paint is peeling off, leaving a part-black, part-shiny chrome accent. Yes, that's what I expect from a watch in the $500-$600 price range.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Zero
