Hinged lid is difficult to close. I had one that I thought was closed but it jumped up and spilled onto my car seat. Now I squeeze the flip top cap every time I close it to make sure it's sealed (they don't seal easily). bad looks. I also put lids in the dishwasher. No matter how I put them in the dishwasher, they're always full of water. Too many nooks and crannies holding water. So I have to have a towel handy to dry them off.
