Review on 🐠 Finnex FugeRay LED Aquarium Light with Moonlights by Samantha Davis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very bright light, low power consumption.

Bought based on other reviews and couldn't be happier. My plants are doing much better than with the old LED lights. Fits very well. I like the blue light of the moon, but for some reason I don't like the fish. I turn it on and they start clicking. They'll settle down after a while, so I rarely use it, mostly just to show other people. It's a little pricey for LEDs, but it's the same for most other lights. I'm glad I bought this instead of a lamp system. I have very hard water and it's easy to clean when I have a lot of scale buildup. The lights run the full length of the bar, illuminating the entire front and back from side to side depending on your position. If you have nocturnal animals, make sure they have a light-free place to hide. The bar sits just under 2 inches above the tank. I have a bit of trouble getting to the switch due to my fat fingers and it has a soft, flexible cap to keep water out. The switches are a bit tiny and rocker type. There are two switches on each end, one for white light and one for blue light. The power cord is about 6 feet long. You can attach a smaller fitting, but it doesn't go much beyond 30 inches. The two ends that attach it to the tank are on rails that slide along the entire length of the bar. There are clear plastic screws you can tighten with to hold the light bar in place, two on each end. You just have to press them firmly and don't overtighten them or they might break. This is probably a safety feature to prevent the tank from rupturing. If you are looking for a new light I highly recommend this one.
