Review on πŸš— UNITOPSCI Single Din 7 Inch Flip Out Android Car Stereo with GPS Navigation, Bluetooth, WiFi, and Backup Camera by Ron Patel

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Generally decent. sound broken. solution in the test.

Product works well for the most part. There are no installation instructions so you better know what you are doing. Also, there is a bug that turns off the sound when the radio application isn't running. The device loses power on the antenna cable (blue) when the radio app is not used. In some cars, this opens a relay that turns off the speakers. The solution was to disconnect the blue wire from the block and run it from the car to a constant 12v supply (red or yellow). It took me a lot of trial and error to fix this, but after I did it works pretty much as advertised. I was surprised that it allows wireless screen mirroring for my iPhone XR. The sound quality is actually very good. The video quality is decent. The handheld screen is pretty solid and performs as you would expect from an Android tablet. The front-end software of the "car" is rather crude, the text here in broken English, but this is an Android with factory installed applications (garbage). Just use Google Play Store to download worthy replacement. The actual function of the device makes for a pretty cool customization if you're creative and like that sort of thing. In general, it is ONLY worth it IF you know how to connect the radio correctly without instructions. And tech support is basically non-existent. Good luck with it. Less than 5 stars due to lack of technical support, incomprehensible instructions, well, tonality, well, the cable to the camera is short, I had to lengthen it.

Pros
  • Mirror Link support
Cons
  • Doubtful
