Sturdy but tricky to install - pliers required
Beautiful and durable, shame this wooden collar is so tricky to assemble. Other reviews didn't joke about how difficult it was to build. I almost wanted to give up and send it back. Luckily I saw reviews that mentioned pliers and they suited me. For assembly with pliers, first align the two plates. Then, from the inside where the slots are, push the notches on the two pieces together. I left the last two edges separate in case I wanted to wrap it around the base of the tree because I don't think I'll ever be able to take it apart. 4 stars for the price and quality and just because I was able to install it.
