I have been a professional carpenter for 50 years. This Steelex Plus bit is the best ground, balanced and sharpest bit I have ever used. Brad Point drill bits are specifically designed for drilling clean holes (no shavings) in wood. They do this by marking the outside edge of the hole before drilling it to the desired depth. This drill still worked effectively after drilling 2500 holes in hardwood. Bits designed primarily for drilling metal just don't do the job. Brad point drills are for wood only. Need a clean well?
