You can wear them on or above the knee.

Depending on usage and desired fit, these socks can be knee-length or above-the-knee. The way the upper is constructed feels a bit unfinished allowing it to be worn above the knee. Personally, I only wear them on my lap. Materials are excellent, slightly compressed, supportive to the touch. The size is accurate. I'm 11.5 and they fit very well. The wearing comfort is very good, especially in the foot, which is lightly padded. These are great socks and I can't think of anything negative.
