Review on 🔊 AIYIMA Tube T2 6J1 Tube Preamplifier: HiFi Bluetooth 5.0 Vacuum Tube Preamp by Kasey Plante

I am very impressed. I used this preamp before the Bose 901 EQ on my Series II 901 and they literally brought it back to life. Series 2 is by far the most desirable, but the problem is trying to pump extreme amounts of volume through 3 1/2 - 4 inch rims (I forgot which ones...lol) and only with a dedicated one EQ lets you achieve something remote. reminiscent of hi-fi. This preamp only gives you control over the bass and treble. And while I could complain about the lack of more mid-range functionality, remember that this is a $50 product. So... back to the sound. I installed it before the BOSE EQ and the moment I started playing music it was like night and day. The sound was fuller, deeper and had enough resonance. I know people who send in their EQ to be modded to extend the top and bottom range and just as I was about to do it and spend over a hundred I stumbled across this preamp and thought I'd give it a try . Somewhere here someone suggested replacing the tubes with better ones. I went ahead and did this but left the other tubes in case they blew. There are several things to consider. 1. When adjusting the treble or bass, do it slowly! This thing can really pump out the bass...so much so that it starts jamming your speakers and they start scratching. As for the high frequencies, it can get very shrill very quickly. All in all I would buy another if and when this one dies. Judging by the reviews here, everything is fine. For me it is the perfect addition to what I have. Hope that helps.
