It was a solid purchase. As a grandmother who lives nearby to see her grandson often, I want to have some toys ready but at the same time not take up too much space. In addition to these problems, I also want my grandson, a toddler, to be able to get hold of something easily and the puppy that lives here cannot run away and destroy. I was told that the guy likes fridge magnets so the only question left is which magnets to buy. There are tons of letter magnets out there, but as a (retired) teacher, I know that just sticking those letters to a fridge makes no difference how quickly he starts reading. He's a little over a year old. These letters mean nothing, and there will be no fun in them. We have many children's books that he loves; Letters can wait. The funny thing about these magnets is that they form some kind of weird combination of farm, jungle and forest animals. As well as the desert and the plain. But as he gets older, they'll enjoy sorting and making up stories with them. The best thing about these magnets - besides the fact that the pattern is pretty accurate - is that they are strong and the magnets on the back are the same size as the front, making it easy for him to take them off and put them back on. without having to tilt or orient them in a certain way and so on. Sammy loves her.
