We were spending about $800 on vet bills when our parrot got lead poisoning from a squid cage retainer. It was an extensive course of medication and injections to get the lead out of her system. Needless to say, we are now very careful about what is in her cage. We bought swabs for lead analysis and are now testing everything. We ordered these toys because they were advertised as 'pet safe' and 'toxic free'. When we received the toys we tested the swab for lead and most of the toys tested positive, particularly the exposed wire loops holding the structure together and the inside of the metal bells. DO NOT LET YOUR PET PLAY WITH THESE TOYS.
