Review on Rugged Ridge 13551.07 CB Radio Mounting Bracket for Jeep Wrangler TJ/LJ (03-06) - Windshield Mount Solution by Travis Karren

Installed this in my 06 TJ in about an hour. I suggest drilling two holes in the bottom of the bracket and attaching it to the windshield frame as shown in the attached photo. This helps secure the control box as the nuts provided are insufficient to hold it in place; Also, I'll probably buy some threaded inserts and replace the nuts that came with them as they won't fit. Here's a tip: Use a regular 3/8" drill bit to drill the factory rivets holding the minion loop, use a center punch to drive them through the frame, then switch to a step drill bit. You get a much better hole. Mine didn't fit the minion loop in the mount and lay flat so I ended up using a round file to make cuts in the mount where needed and it looks like I'm going to have trouble doing that Bikini top put it on. straps to go through. Well, live and learn.
