I have been taking this 5-HTP supplement for over 2 years. I went through a really stressful time in grad school, but I didn't have insurance to go to a therapist (and I really didn't want to take prescription anxiety/depression medication). After a little research I found this. I take this daily as part of my morning routine. My experience is that it helps me worry less. It used to be difficult for me to work day by day because of my anxiety. When taken for about 2 weeks, it regulates your body and "defusesβ anxiety and restlessness. It's definitely not a replacement for prescription drugs if you're suffering from clinical depression, but if you're looking for alternatives to mild to moderate anxiety and depression, it might be worth a try.
